You can influence a smoker's behaviour and can assist him or her in making the decision to quit and make a quit attempt. You can also provide support and encouragement once he or she has stopped smoking.

Professionals helping others to quit smoking
Professionals in the health, education and community service areas can encourage and support smoking cessation. Quit provides information and training to assist them in this role.
Quit Educators
A range of health and community professionals become accredited as Quit Educators so they can incorporate Quit’s smoking cessation programs in their practice or run Quit courses.
Send a fax referral to Quitline
After receiving your form, a Quitline Advisor will contact your patient/client within a week to provide ongoing smoking cessation assistance.
Send an e-card
A selection of e-cards to send to your friends as support, encouragement or to let them know you are quitting smoking.
