Call the Quitline
What is the Quitline?
Quitline is a confidential telephone service providing information, support and advice for quitting. It is just the cost of a local call no matter where you are calling from in Australia. (Mobile phones excepted).
Quit's friendly professional advisors are there to help you. They have helped thousands of Australians to quit. In Victoria, the Quitline takes around 30,000 calls a year.
How can Quitline help?
Ring 13 7848 and ask for a Quit Pack to be sent free of charge. This service is available 24 hours a day.
Ask to speak to one of our trained advisors. They have had lots of experience in helping people quit and in Victoria are available from 8 am to 8 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
Ring if you are just thinking about quitting and not ready to have a go yet. Chat with an advisor so that when you are ready to have a go you will know what help is available.
Advisors can help you work out how you can be of support to someone you care about who smokes. They can send you some useful information.
