Cigarettes are eating you alive

Quit Victoria's latest campaign  ‘Cigarettes Are Eating You Alive', was originally produced by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

The campaign aims to convince smokers to quit now, by using a range of graphic images to highlight the real health consequences caused by smoking. The campaign reminds smokers that every time you smoke, cigarettes attack your body, affecting almost every organ in the body.

An important part of the campaign is making sure smokers know they can get professional help to quit by phoning the Quitline on 13 QUIT (13 7848) for the cost of a local call. It is a confidential and non-judgmental service run by specially trained professionals.
