Quit Victoria works with a variety of community groups to help keep Victorians healthy.

Many disadvantaged communities in Victoria smoke at high rates, and Quit is dedicated to supporting these groups in reducing smoking rates and lessening the harm caused by tobacco.

This section offers support to different communities, including schools and workplaces, sporting groups, multicultural and Aboriginal communities, correctional and social services.

Workplaces

Information and resources to help sporting clubs comply with smokefree bans, or to go completely smokefree.

Youth & smoking

Youth smoking rates and information for parents on how to talk to young people about smoking.

Social services

Social and community services can help reduce smoking-related harms for their clients and staff by providing straight forward smoking care.

Mental health settings

Mental health services can help reduce smoking-related harms for their clients and staff by providing straight forward smoking care.

Correctional settings

From 1 July 2015 all Victorian Prison locations became smokefree. Quit Victoria are supporting Corrections Victoria through the implementation of the smoking ban by providing tailored smoking care to Victorian prisoners.

Multicultural communities

Quit engages with a range of multicultural community groups, ESL schools, welfare, health and educational service providers and the ethnic media.

Aboriginal communities

Quit Victoria has a long-term commitment to Aboriginal Programs including the Aboriginal Quitline and training.
