After 20 years of smoking I threw my half-full pack in the bin. That was it. No patches, no anything (except my willpower and my belief that enough was enough). I have won. It has been a battle. I sometimes think about it, but only with regret that I did that to myself for so long. Just do it, don't finish that pack, or wait until tomorrow, just throw them away. Think about how good you are going to feel being a 'non smoker'. It is hard, but just keep thinking about what you love about life. I have been reading these stories since I gave up, and they have really helped. You will have bad times but it’s worth it. Believe in yourself. You can do it!!!
