About the WA Quitline (13 7848)

Quitline (13 7848) is a confidential, evidence-based telephone counselling service. The WA Quitline operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm AWST.

Highly skilled, friendly Quitline counsellors deliver behavioural interventions to help people of all ages stop smoking or vaping. This includes helping people to:

  • Identify and manage triggers to smoke or vape

  • Manage nicotine withdrawal symptoms and cravings

  • Build motivation, skills and confidence to quit.

Quitline (13 7848) can also support people who are using vapes to quit smoking.

Aboriginal Quitline is available to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who smoke or vape.

Quitline is tailored to meet the needs of priority populations, including people living with a mental illness, youth and pregnant women.

People who have a hearing or speech impairment can call via the National Relay Service. The option of an interpreter is also available for people who speak a language other than English.

Quitline encourages the reporting of concerns; we will respond to complaints promptly, thoroughly and fairly, and to immediately act to secure protection for children at risk.
