5 things that happen when you quit

When you stop smoking or vaping, there are lots of benefits. Here are some of the things you have to look forward to!

1. You'll no longer be exposing yourself to harmful chemicals from smokes or vapes

Your lungs are made to breathe in fresh air. By quitting, you'll protect yourself from inhaling the harmful chemicals in cigarettes and vapes!

2. You'll gain back your time

Think about all the time in your day you'll gain back by not smoking or vaping, time you can instead devote to spending with your family, friends or on a passion project.

3. You'll reduce the risk of secondhand exposure for your family and pets

Smoking and vaping exposes those nearby to the chemicals in secondhand smoke or vape aerosol. When you quit, you'll no longer be exposing your loved ones to these.

4. Feel happier

Do you know that people report feeling happier after quitting nicotine? In the months after quitting, you may start to feel less stressed, anxious, or depressed and you may feel you have more energy.

5. Get a better night's sleep

Did you know that people who smoke are more likely to experience sleep disturbances, such as taking longer to fall asleep and having less total sleep time? Some people who vape say that the urge to vape can disturb their sleep. The good news is that when you quit, you can get some quality shut eye.
