Ingrid's family helped her quit.
For Ingrid, it was all about leaning on someone near and dear.

Ingrid's family helped her quit.
My addiction was making me sick, so I asked my son to take away my cigarettes and look after them. When I needed a cigarette he would charge me two dollars and I would have to pay him straight away. It was costing me so much that I quit from 20-a-day, to nine and then three, to one and then none.
To buy the cigarettes and then be charged each cigarette was going to cost me $53.00 a day, so I quickly lost interest. I've learnt not to be around a smoke environment after quitting as it takes five years to reduce the risk of stroke after you quit.
