The best things in life are done with a close friend or loved one.
If you're thinking about quitting with a friend, here are some tips.
Everyone is different
Nicotine dependence levels differ, too. Some people get strong feelings of withdrawal when they quit, others just find it hard in social settings.
People who smoke or vape have different habits and routines and deal with stress differently.
Everyone is at a different place in terms of their skills and readiness to quit. You may be closer to quitting for good than your quit buddy or vice versa.
What happens if one of you has a cigarette or vape, or starts smoking and/or vaping again?
Quitting takes practice, so this is common and can be a normal part of the quitting journey. Talk about the possibility beforehand, and make a plan for if it happens. If it does happen, the key is to learn from it and try again!
