Carly's story reminds us all that our lives can be changed with the support of our loved ones.
I smoked from the age of 14. Yes, it was bad. But I did.
I would wake up and smoke before breakfast, after, all day I would smoke. My voice was terrible. I tried stopping but couldn't find a way. I smoked on and on and I got to 17 and still smoked.
Then I met Henry. He changed me. He urged me to stop. We fell in love and his love distracted me from smoking. My voice was better and I didn't feel like collapsing when I jogged a lap in the gym. He helped me stop and even drove me to therapy and meetings. He even stopped eating pizza all the time for me. We are now married with two kids and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. But he died a year ago.
I am 86 years old and I haven't smoked a puff since I was 17. All because of Henry. RIP Henry Simon July 29, 2013. Thank you for giving me my life back.
